In the final week of term, our learning support team hosted a special event that filled the air with joy, wonder and beautiful butterflies! On a sunny day, they released butterflies into the wild. The butterflies, nurtured and cared for by the team and pupils alike, fluttered into the sky, ...symbolizing growth and new beginnings. A special end to a wonderful year for the learning support department, a dedicated team that ensures every pupil is provided with opportunities to meet their individual needs, thus enabling them to achieve their potential.

The Year 8 production of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" was a delightful showcase of young talent and creativity, capturing the whimsical spirit of Roald Dahl's beloved story. The pupils brought the magical world of Willy Wonka's factory to life with vibrant costumes, ...imaginative sets, and enthusiastic performances. Each character, from the enigmatic Wonka to the lovable Charlie, was portrayed with dedication and charm, captivating the audience!

The Years 5 - 8 Speech Day was a memorable and inspiring event, celebrating a special year at Danes Hill School. After a warm welcome from our Head, Richard Brown and our Chair of Governors, Cedric Ntumba, we welcomed Alex Tate, Head @stjohnsleatherhead to the stage who shared insightful words with... the audience. Highlights of the morning included a beautiful performance by the Chamber Choir, a brilliant excerpt from the Year 6 production 'Once Upon a Pea', the Head Boy and Head Girl's end-of-year reflections and the presentation of prizes by our guest of Honour.

We are incredibly proud of former Danes Hill pupil @fin.baxter who plays for @englandrugby today against the All Blacks in New Zealand! Fin recently returned to Danes Hill for our Year 8 end of year sports celebrations as our guest speaker, we wish him the very best of luck out on the pitch today.
We also bid farewell to several esteemed staff members from Danes Hill School, including the wonderful Mrs Callis. After an impressive tenure of 21 years—equivalent to 63 terms—Mrs Callis has become a cornerstone of our community, her dedication and passion leaving an indelible mark on ...countless pupils and colleagues alike. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for their years of service and sincerely hope they will visit often, as their presence will always be cherished at Danes Hill.
Today, we bid a fond farewell to our Year 8 pupils and some of our Year 6 children, who are leaving Danes Hill School to embark on their next exciting chapter at senior schools. These pupils have shown tremendous growth, resilience, and enthusiasm throughout their time here, and their contributions... have left an indelible mark on our community. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours and look forward to hearing about their continued successes.
