The week before half-term saw children in Bevendean celebrating Science Week, with their focus on changes to the environment.
It was a week full of experiments and scientific investigation. Mr Andrews led the children in their studies, dazzling them some of his exciting experiments. The children showed wonderful enthusiasm in throughout the week as they explored a very hot modern topic, namely the significant changes happening to the environment around us.
Each year group ran a design competition, giving the children the opportunity to show off their creative skills. Year 1 pupils were tasked with designing a change they would like to make to better the environment, whilst Reception children designed an eco-warrior badge and Transition an eco-warrior superhero. There will be a prize for the winning entries in each year group and we are very excited about seeing the finished products!
